REMA Background

With the guiding philosophy that “Knowledge is not Private Property,” Brihat Investments Pvt. Ltd. (BI) initiated the Real Estate Marketing Agent (REMA) course in 2009. Recognizing the urgent need to formalize Nepal’s real estate industry, REMA was launched to bridge the gap between an evolving market and the absence of trained, ethical professionals.


BI believes that real estate professionals deserve the same recognition and respect as those in medicine, engineering, and academia. The REMA course is a cornerstone of our broader vision, which revolves around the 3 REs:


• Real Estate Investment

• Real Estate Partnering for Entrepreneurship

• Real Estate Marketing Agent (REMA)


The very first REMA course was conducted in May 2009, and following its success, BI was encouraged to continue the initiative. Notably, for the second REMA batch, we partnered with the Thai Real Estate Business School, making it Nepal’s first internationally affiliated real estate training.


To date, we have successfully completed 22 REMA batches, certifying over 275 Real Estate Marketing Agents, many of whom are actively engaged in the real estate sector with credibility and professionalism.


This course is more than a training, it is part of a larger movement to institutionalize real estate education, raise service standards, and build trust in the market.
